7.40pm That's a wrap of this game. You can follow ball-by-ball commentary for the Capitals-Kings match with Varun Shetty here. Until next time, stay safe and cheers.

Buttler, Player of the Match: I think sometimes you have to swallow your ego when you're not in perfect touch. You have to give yourself time and find your way. I tried to stay in and keep the belief that something will click. It's a small ground. The more balls you face you can capitalise in the end. That's been the theme of the IPL - players who are consistent have shown us. I pride myself on my performance for the team. We haven't played our best cricket, hopefully for myself and the team we can kick on in the back half of the tournament.

7.37pm Samson: Absolutely, it's always a pleasure to bat with Jos. When Jos goes on, it's always a good sight for us. I think it was a very clinical performance. We started well in the powerplay and just stuck to our plans. It can be a funny game and they have some hitters in their line-up. I think we haven't won as many matches as we would have liked, but it can be funny in the IPL. One ball can change the result. It doesn't matter if I am in form, I want to contribute in a better and dominant way and help my team win.

7.15pm Thumping victory for the Rajasthan Royals - one that was beautifully set up by Buttler's maiden T20 ton. Samson's men move up to fifth. On the other hand, SRH remain rooted to the bottom of the points table. Warner appears a frustrated figure again; he gets sympathetic hugs from Khaleel and other team-mates. Bairstow and Pandey forged a fifty opening stand, but SRH's middle order fell away once again. They eventually lose by 55 runs, which will also hurt their net run-rate.

A message from us to our readers, especially in India: mask up in public, and follow social distancing and self-sanitising protocols. And if you're eligible, please take your vaccine as soon as possible.

Williamson: It was a tough day and a very competitive total from Rajasthan. Jos was outstanding and had his day out. With the bat, you need a few things to go your way. For us, we've had a number of challenges over the last three weeks, but we keep fronting up and make adjustments. Jos and Sanju are key threats in their side, so we wanted to bowl Rashid to bowl as many deliveries to them as possible. It's character-building for us. Fine margins and this game can change quickly. Exceptional batting from Rajasthan, but we need to build on a few things. A number of leaders in the group and it's important we stay right. He's a world-class player, all cards are on the table, and I'm sure a number of conversations will be had [Will Warner be back in the XI at some point?]

Sampath: SRH losing by 50+ runs margin in IPL 77 runs vs CSK, Hyderabad, 2013 72 runs vs KXIP, Sharjah, 2014 55 runs vs RR, Delhi, Today
