Benjie: "@shyam...Karn had done well..3-0-16-1..barring his last over which went for 19...wouldve still been questionable if Dhoni had not bowled him out!!!"

Utkarsh: "Wait, i feel we are forgetting something at the end of innings - No rolling report if KKR got enough" --- Matt Roller has been given a demerit point, Utkarsh, thanks for pointing it out.

shyam: "Dhoni's choice of bowlers and captaincy is very debatable today. 6th over inside powerplay Santner bowled - Rana till then was struggling against pace.. that over Santner gave 15 runs to Rana which shifted the momentum.. Dhoni should have bowled Ngidi or Curran.. 16th over Karn bowled to Rana when he had 6 overs of pace left.. these small things cost CSK 15-20 runs easily"

Shrikant: "180 looked possible at the end of 18th over. CSK bowled 2 good last overs "

7:36pm A strong finish and a pretty good score for KKR here. They've got 66 in the last five overs courtesy of some six-hitting from Nitish Rana and some clarity from Dinesh Karthik. It seemed a two=paced pitch, quite sticky at the start and providing grip to the bowlers. Seems to have eased out slightly towards the end, and perhaps that is a sign that there is dew. But it's been difficult to call, conditions-wise, this tournament. We'll see how CSK go about the chase. KKR are a bowler short tonight compared to their last game.

Ngidi to Tripathi, 2 runs, just short of deep midwicket and they pinch the second. Full slower ball at middle stump, gets down for the slog sweep and gets too far under it. Ends up lofting it high as Jadeja swoops in on it

1lb
Ngidi to Karthik, 1 leg bye, full slower ball follows him down leg side. He gets on a knee for the sweep but cops that on the front pad

Ngidi to Tripathi, 1 run, yorker at off stump, steers the jab straight to backward point

Ngidi to Karthik, 1 run, yorker on leg stump, flicked to deep square's left

They've crossed over

Ngidi to Morgan, OUT, taken at long-off. Full slower ball wide outside off. Walks into the off side this time and is still forced to reach out. Wants to loft over extra cover but gets it only a couple of yards to long-off's right

Ngidi to Morgan, FOUR, edged over third man. Backs into the leg side and is forced to stretch out to try and get a connection on this full one outside off. Gets his reward for reaching it in the end, I suppose

Ngidi around the wicket

18.5
0
Curran to Karthik, no run, beaten on the drive. Goes a long long way into the leg side and misses out on an overpitched ball outside off

Going around the wicket now

18.4
2
Curran to Karthik, 2 runs, slower short ball just outside off, cut aerially to sweeper's right

Tasmeem: "That's why Karthik needs to bat at number 5 or 6. He is devastating at the back end of the innings."

18.3
4
Curran to Karthik, FOUR, walks into the off side and swats it over square leg. No one back on the line square on the leg side. This is a cutter, short and wide outside off from over the wicket. So the angle is well against him, but he's moved right across and found his spot
18.2
1
Curran to Morgan, 1 run, short of a length and rising outside off, cut uppishly to sweeper cover
18.1
4
Curran to Morgan, FOUR, slapped over extra cover. That is savvy, not an easy shot on a slow surface. Cutter climbing up at an off and middle stump line. His feet are off the floor and he's cramped as he gets into the leg side, but he manages to get the punch away

Here's Curran

Ngidi to Karthik, FOUR, just short of fine leg who ends up creating a ramp for the ball to slide off of and lob into the boundary behind him. Slower short ball at middle stump and it was a dipping pull shot to Jagadeesan's left. Decided to go in for the catch and couldn't manage it

4
Ngidi to Karthik, FOUR, lifted over the keeper. Slower ball at a length on middle stump. Gets on a knee and steps into the off side. Shapes for the paddle sweep and then adjusts to use the extra bounce to go upwards and get it over Dhoni

Ngidi to Karthik, 2 runs, slower ball at a length on middle stump, leans and in and clips it to short fine's left

17.1
W
Ngidi to Rana, OUT, slammed high up and taken at long-on. Full offcutter at off stump. Rana looks for the slog and is done by the pace. Gets a nice connection on it but it's all elevation. And it looks like that swerves on Curran late in its path because he's taken it a couple of inches out to his right and at waist height. These guys train to take catches as close to the body as possible so that must have changed path. Good take to end a good innings
