Sukrit: "@Sandeep a gentle reminder, this Abu Dhabi and not Sharjah. On a wicket, where the par score is around 165, they have managed a 190+ score for third consecutive time with or without Pollard. They have done their job."
Ritesh: "S Yadav....always low profile... Always effective in his own way..."
Sandeep Shenoy: "Poor from MI...Pollard has been better hitting form than pandya this season....has cost them at least 10 to 15 runs and could be the difference...."
Srinivasan: "Players like Ishan, Surya, Rana needs to be consistent to get a chance in the higher level. The problem is they tapper off once the tournament come to the middle stage. Hope this time they won't and deliver good for their respective teams. Its always better to give them small breaks than trying to play them all the games"
srini: "Felt strange at Smith's captaincy. Started with Rajpoot instead of Archer knowing pretty well that MI openers are red hot and you need to put pressure and take wickets early. An extra over in the middle for Tewatia would have eliminated the last over by Rajpoot :("
Kieron Pollard didn't face a single ball. Is that a sign of poor planning, or simply evidence that MI's top six did their jobs? Have your say over on the Rolling Report
7:53pm Suryakumar Yadav walks off with his highest IPL score. Never let his scoring rate fall away, even after Royals staged a small comeback in the middle overs with their spinners. Those wickets - two in two - prompted Mumbai to change their batting order and the man who injected force into their innings in the last match didn't quite do it tonight; it was a struggle for Krunal Pandya. Hardik came in after him and didn't quite take off either, but has managed to strike at 157 anyway. A nice, strong finish to the innings even in the absence of Pollard. Back for the chase shortly.
Yadav has a half-century behind the wicket tonight, by the way. 51 runs behind the wicket. 37 in the V behind him.
