10:11pm And that is all from our coverage. Thanks for joining and see you tomorrow!
S Mavi: When I started, the ball was seaming around. So I kept to normal lines and lengths. It was a little different after seeing the wicket, thought it would be flat. But it was seaming around so I kept it tight. I've played against some of these big players before so I knew what they would do, so I made sure I just stuck to the lines and lengths.
Shivam Mavi is the Man of the Match.
D Karthik: I wouldn't call it perfect. There was a lot of areas we could improve. It was a good game. A lot of things pleased me - the way Gill started, the way Russell started, the way Morgan kept his head. The beautiful sight of the youngsters going for the catch no matter high it is. I think Archer bowled some good areas. Couple of guys made the pitch look better than it was. It's a very special thing - these boys, the journey they've gone through when not playing, and for them to just come out and express themselves with the ball and ball was incredible.
We would have batted first, that was our plan. To put runs on the board was what we thought was the way forward on this ground.
K Nagarkoti: The wicket was important, because the situation was a little bit on our side so I just kept my plans and executed correctly. I just wanna say thanks to my family and the support staff who have supported me through the journey. Many people have helped - my family, Dravid sir, Abhishek bhaiyya. I just want to say thanks. It is really nice experience, Pat Cummins is a really good bowler and I learn so much from him and just execute in the match.
S Smith: Didn't quite go to plan, but that happens in T20 cricket sometimes. I think t could go one way or another [the decision at the toss]. We lost too many wickets up front, a few of us probably thought we're still playing at Sharjah! The far side is a very big side, we didn't see too many balls go up above that fence there. We probably didn't adapt as well as we could have to the wicket and the dimensions. We'll wait and see about switching the XI around. [Cummins] Wasn't much of a battle! Just spoke to him and he said you normally smack those in the nets. [Joking] got a good one tonight.
9:48pm Another comprehensive win for KKR. They're really making this strategy work for them - the lean batting order and the packed bowling order. It's allowing them to go all out attack with the new ball at top-heavy line-ups. If that succeeds, they're going to come out on top often. But it is a fair question to ask if Royals should have gauged that - Smith in particular, given the balls leading up to his dismissal playing a poor shot against Cummins. When Sanju and Buttler went shortly after, the Royals' middle order was embarrassingly shredded. It is their first loss of the season, which completes the pattern - all teams have now lost at least one game. This is also the sixth instance of the team batting first winning in Dubai. That's six out of six this season.
