  • Mohammed Siraj2 (3b)
  • T Natarajan4-0-11-1
  • Jason Holder4-0-27-2

Just a run-a-ball from RCB. And granted this is a difficult pitch to hit out on, there might be some dew later, and also if a side know it has to get only 121, it can plan its innings better. SRH has bowled excellently given the conditions. More like home conditions for them. Starting with Sandeep Sharma, through Nataraja and Holder, and then the spinners. Ominous words from Sandeep. He says the pitch was slow and sticky when they started out, but in the second half of the innings the dew showed up and the wet ball was coming nicely onto the bat

Natarajan to Gurkeerat Singh, no run, looks to ramp, Natarajan fires one in full and quick. He gets an inside edge to short fine but turns down the single

Natarajan to Gurkeerat Singh, no run, another big slower offcutter, and Mann is really early into the shot. Beaten again. Mustafizur-like cutters here

Natarajan to Mohammed Siraj, 1 bye, slower offcutter, Siraj is beaten as he swings at it, and they steal the bye. Saha's throw bounces over the wicket

Right. Last over. Can RCB make something off this to get to a competitive total?

END OF OVER:

  • Mohammed Siraj1 (1b)
  • Gurkeerat Singh Mann14 (20b)
  • Jason Holder4-0-27-2
  • T Natarajan3-0-9-1

Holder 4-0-27-2. Smart use of the pitch from him. Not giving them pace to work with

1
Holder to Mohammed Siraj, 1 run, on pace, full, into the pads, a bit of a helicopter to long-on for one
18.5
1
Holder to Gurkeerat Singh, 1 run, slower short ball, tries to hit it hard, but gets a single to deep midwicket

Siraj is the new man in but Mann is on strike

Holder to Udana, OUT, slower ball again, on a length, Udana looks to go over cover, but toe-ends a skier for extra cover to take running back

I Udana c Williamson b Holder 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0

1
Holder to Gurkeerat Singh, 1 run, in the slot but a slower ball, and he nearly holes out to deep cover. Just falls short of the man

Isuru Udana now. He can hit a long ball too. Mann on strike, though

18.2
W
Holder to Morris, OUT, full toss, Morris goes for the six over long-on, the bottom hand comes off, he gets no timing, and Warner takes the easy catch at long-on

CH Morris c Warner b Holder 3 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 75

Holder to Morris, 2 runs, nearly a yorker, Morris does well to drive this hard towards deep cover. it is dying on the sweeper, but Abhishek Sharma attacks the ball, and even though he doesn't get to it on the full, he makes sure he gets some part of his body behind it

Morris will have to target this over, but Holder is a smart bowler

Natarajan to Gurkeerat Singh, no run, wide yorker, ruled inside the wide line by the umpire. I thought it was slightly too wide, especially because Mann hadn't moved across

Natarajan to Gurkeerat Singh, FOUR, nearly a sensational catch by Sharma. Mann looks to ramp this, Natarajan goes across him, he gets a top edge, and Sandeep chases this back from short third man. Somehow manages to get a hand to it but these are so difficult to take over your shoulder
17.3
1
Natarajan to Morris, 1 run, slower ball, on a length, outside off, punched to deep cover for one

Rise: "Gurkeerat on 8 off 15, after 10th over!! Just not good enough...Dube does better and also gives bowling option."

Natarajan to Morris, no run, on a length, quick, flicked nicely, but straight to midwicket

In comes Chris Morris. Can he give himself and his fellow bowlers a total to bowl at?

W
Natarajan to Washington Sundar, OUT, and he has taken that threat out. Slower ball, on a length, sundar early into it, hits it in the air back towards Natarajan, and he is lucky that it hits the wrist and deflects into his lap. These two have faced off against each other many a time in TNPL

Washington Sundar c & b Natarajan 21 (18b 2x4 0x6) SR: 116.66

Natarajan has to bowl 18 and 20 now. Holder has to bowl 19. It is in SRH's interests to not bring Morris in here. Sundar the only threat right now

1
Sandeep Sharma to Washington Sundar, 1 run, full, nearly a yorker, dug out to deep point for one

From Shiva Jayaraman: "Rashid Khan beat RCB batsmen's bat (excludes edges) on eight balls in his spell - most often any bowler has done so in a match this season"
