Sunil Narine says the plan was always for him to bat just after the Powerplay to upset the bowling plans in the middle overs. He acknowledges it was good to get going against spin. He says they were looking at 160 at one point, but while they are happy with 194 it is a good wicket and they will need early wickets
Questionable tactics from DC, but excellent hitting too from Rana and Narine to come within a six of the first 200 since Match 22. And still it is the highest total the IPL in the last 15 matches. Have KKR found a lifeline today?

Last ball. Can Morgan hit a six and bring up the 200?
N Rana c Deshpande b Stoinis 81 (53b 13x4 1x6) SR: 152.83
Stoinis to bowl the last over with a short leg-side boundary.

Fine leg stays in
Into the last two. One will be bowled by Rabada. If they aim for 8 to 10 here, they could look for 20 in the last over with the short boundary on the leg side

From Shiva Jayaraman: "115 runs scored in the middle over (from 7th to 16th) in this innings - the second highest in an innings this season. The highest is 118 by KXIP against KKR at Sharjah earlier in the season"
Nortje is back

Eoin Morgan comes in, but he is not on strike. Fine leg comes up so no short balls now
SP Narine c Rahane b Rabada 64 (32b 6x4 4x6) SR: 200
So what do you make of DC's captaincy? Narine comes in, and there is also Rana already in there, which makes it a bad match-up for Ashwin, but they bowl Ashwin. And now they have three overs from their big fast bowlers left in the final four. Is that a bit of a waste? And what explains the absence of a single mean bouncer bowled to Rana? Not one shoulder-high bouncer despite the presence of Rabada and Nortje in your side. And nothing about the fields set for him suggested they wanted to do that
