Archer: Very hard, it's 42 degrees. I think we have to make the most of the Powerplay. It won't be easy but back the boys to get over the line. Good wicket to bat on, in the first ten, and the ball started gripping. That's what you train for [to identify the right lengths]. Everything won't go your way like the inside edge.
9:46pm 176 looks small after the start, but in the broader picture, with how much they got the offcutters to sit in this pitch and how much spin CSK have in their ranks, it is very challenging. Some of Dhoni's shots, my colleague Sid Monga observed, would have flown faster and further on a better pitch. For Royals, a top performance from Ish Sodhi, who showed once again that he grasped the pace of the pitch early. The seamers came back nicely in the end too, but this is a steep chase. It's not a hefty middle order. We'll see how they go. Crowd-favourite Deiva Muthu at the other end. See you!
My colleagues spotted Dhoni running back towards the dugout after the last ball of the 19th over. He had to be told there's another over remaining.
