9.42pm Third time in four matches that Ambati Rayudu has been run out. It's almost as though he's struck a deal that states that anytime he bats well and makes a significant contribution, he has to give back by getting run out. But a brilliant innings from him again. Dhoni struck them brutally again. But whatever these gentlemen could do was made possible by another belligerent innings from Shane Watson, who is turning out to be quite the star for CSK. Faf du Plessis scratched around a lot at the start, and you have to wonder how many more they could have got but for that. But, having said that, CSK wouldn't have too much to complain. Barring a poor bowling display, of course. Be back shortly.

"When you haven't played a lot of cricket, you need that time in the middle," says Faf du Plessis. "We've got some nice balance in the squad. Rayudu has been brilliant for us. He's smoking the ball.
