9.35 pm On a pitch that offered plenty of pace and bounce for the new ball, Ankit Rajpoot has run through Sunrisers Hyderabad. Knocked over Kane Williamson in the first over. Toppled Shikhar Dhawan with a ball that wouldn't be out of place in a Test match on a green pitch at Headingley. Came back in the death to dismiss the set batsman Manish Pandey (who enjoyed three lives) as well. Super strong performance from an uncapped fast bowler. And he may well have needed to do all that work considering Kings XI were dropping catches left, right and centre. They should fancy chasing 133, but they could have been looking at a much easier target.
"Outstanding as a group. Took wickets early, but dropped a few chances. They probably got a few extra runs in the end," Andrew Tye says. "The pitch is pretty good, but there are times when the ball sticks in it. We had a really good fielding performance the other night, tonight was pretty sloppy, I dropped a catch in the third or fourth over and might have set a bad tone there. Rajpoot has been outstanding, we asked him to start well and he took three very crucial wickets. Always puts in 100%"
Dhaval : "If there's one team to defend this total against Kings XI juggernaut, it's SRH. But can they do it over and over again? They have to find a way past the GayleStorm and RahulBlitz. Rest can be taken care by KW brilliance. "
Mohammad Nabi c Agarwal b Rajpoot 4 (2b 1x4 0x6) SR: 200
MK Pandey b Rajpoot 54 (51b 3x4 1x6) SR: 105.88
That 48-ball fifty from Pandey was the slowest of the season, and took five more balls than the previous slowest, by Kane Williamson off 43 balls against KKR.
Four people up in the arc between cover point and short third man

adarsh: "While young, a lean Pandey had a much smooth bat flow and played a lot on off side but now the batting does not look smooth and i can't remember him playing any cover drive in recent years."
jp: "Those drop catches will cost KXIP the game . Had they taken those catches scorecard would have looked different " --- Still looks cool at 117 in the 19th over.

AKH: "Two runs from that final over from Mujeeb and out-foxing Yusuf Pathan on multiple occasions.. incredible! 1/17 for a 17 year old. Did that cricket ball to the eye give Mujeeb powers like Spiderman did with the sp? Oh my gosh, I gotta pitch this to Marvel!"
Expect Pandey to pick up the pace of scoring from here. He usually takes a while to get going: scores at only 112 in his first-30 balls in the IPL. After that he goes at an SR of 173. However, the gestation period is perhaps too long for this format, and leaves him too less time to make up for slow starts. This is reflected in his overall SR of just 119.81.
