10:24pm That will be all from us for today. We hope you enjoyed our coverage and you can stay updated with all that is happening around the world courtesy ESPNcricinfo. Until next time, from all of us here, it is goodbye!
Chris Jordan, Player of the Match: We played one extra batter today, so someone had to step up in the powerplay. My name got called (laughs). A little disappointed with the way we got beat (against the Stars). It was important we put things right tonight. Pride myself on keeping my body as fit as possible, doing long on to long on, bowl four overs and then whack a few (with the bat).
10:19pm A proper rout in the end. The Hurricanes needed less than 14 overs to get the job done, with Chaudhary front and centre of their charge. He walked in after Owen was dismissed for a golden duck, but fought fire with fire, smashing the ball to all parts and knocking the stuffing out of the Renegades. McDermott continued his stellar start to the season, ensuring he was there at the end.
An evening to forget for the Renegades. They struggled with the bat, and struggled with the ball too. They could not apply any sort of pressure and once the Hurricanes came hard at them, they could also not respond adequately. A defeat that will probably sting, but one they could use to fuel their BBL charge.
Just twelve more needed now
