He walked in after Owen was dismissed for a golden duck, but fought fire with fire, smashing the ball to all parts and knocking the stuffing out of the Renegades. McDermott continued his stellar start to the season, ensuring he was there at the end.

An evening to forget for the Renegades. They struggled with the bat, and struggled with the ball too. They could not apply any sort of pressure and once the Hurricanes came hard at them, they could also not respond adequately. A defeat that will probably sting, but one they could use to fuel their BBL charge.
