Hurricanes now have two on the trot as they move to fifth on the points table. Plenty to ponder over for Strikers though who have now lost three in four. That will be it from us today. Thanks for tuning in. We will be back tomorrow for the Melbourne Stars-Sydney Thunder game, which should be another classic. But till then, this is me Ashish Pant signing off. Ciao!
Ben McDermott is the player of the match: We know this is a high scoring ground and we targeted a boundary an over. [On Tim David] He is brilliant. He is picked up all around the world and there is a reason for that. He came out and just whacked it. [Power surge] A good little touch to the game, and we all love it. We started pretty well. We played the right way. [Chase] When they started the innings, I wished we had 190. They had no choice but to go for it. But we got it back well.
10.15pm Hurricanes register their second win on the bounce, and move up the points table. Their win was setup by Ben McDermott who smashed 68 off 34 balls to rack up 214. Adelaide started brilliantly with Matthew Short and D'Arcy Short putting up 76 off 6.2 overs. But once they fell, the Adelaide middle order wasn't able to keep up with the rate. The Hurricanes bowlers came back with a bang and ensured they kept Adelaide to 203. So Hurricanes win by 11 runs and Adelaide move to seventh on the table after their third loss in four games.
Strikers need 31 runs in 6 balls. Meredith to bowl. Hurricanes need an extra fielder in and Overton is absolutely fuming because the umpires told Ellis that they needed an extra fielder in. Don't think the captain remembered it
