The stats highlights from Brown's innings will be up soon as will Tristan Lavalette's match report. Do check it out. Hopefully, there'll be more stories about him as well. A couple of days time to both look back at what was an awesome innings ahead of the grand final. Sixers beat Heat away but the three-time winners will be wary of Heat doing to them what they did to the Strikers side, who were on a hot streak coming in tonight. Join us then, thanks for your company tonight.
Nisha: "SOK V JOSH BROWN (IF FIT) : Match up of the BBL 2023/24 finals!"
Josh Brown, POTM: Hip's a bit sore but will hopefully be alright. Just twisted it tonight. Still pinching myself. When I hit my first pull, I felt good. I was standing still and looking it hit it out if it's in my slot. That's how I've played since grade cricket. My power's always been there, have had to learning to defend. Prefer pace. Strikers are an incredible outfit. Onto the final, that will be interesting. Hope it'll be a good wicket at the SCG.
David: "McSweeney picked a good time to bowl!"
9:55pm Guess who the player of the match will be. The chase brought in very few surprises. The Shorts, especially Matt, had to go big but Spencer Johnson knocked them over with pace, real pace. Kuhnemann, Walter and Bartlett kept things quiet in the middle. Their task was made simple by the monstrous target. The batters went hard, tried their best. Nielsen got fifty, Kelly got 41 but nothing else of note. The day was all about Josh Brown though, he was the only batter to get going and get stuck. Everyone else played on a different pitch pretty much.

Heat's pacers have bowled at an average length of 7.8 metres, compared to Strikers' 6.9
He also says advice from Brisbane Heat assistant coach Darren Lehmann helped him recover from a poor performance in the previous game
The batter's 140 against Strikers is also the third-highest individual score in BBL history, and the highest in a playoff match
