10.55pm So that's that from today. Finch says farewell with a win, signing off as a T20 great. Earlier, it was Perth Scorchers who trumped Brisbane Heat in the first match of today's double-header. This is Abhimanyu, signing off on behalf of Ashish Pant, Ranjith and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo.
10.50pm Finch bagged a duck, but he will walk away having won his last professional game! It was a low target to chase, but they chased well on a tricky surface. Stars picked three wickets in the Power Surge, but Renegades also hit enough boundaries in that period to put them in a comfortable position. Shaun Marsh was at his assured best as he steered the chase expertly. Finch gets congratulated by the Stars players and the umpires.
Player of the match, Shaun Marsh: "It was a tough wicket. It was Finchy's last game so it was great to be there till the end and get the win for him. [On Jake Fraser-McGurk] He is such a nice talent, seeing him out there batting like that was great. [On his form] It's always nice to get a few runs obviously. Nice to be there at the end. [Has he taken a call on his future?] Not yet. Next few days, I guess we'll know. Not so sure. Body is okay, it's hanging in there. Getting a win in our last home game was awesome. [On Finch] He's an absolute legend. He has been a player here since Day 1. It was nice to get a win for him."
Boland to bowl out
Budders: "As a pom, from Surrey, I wish Finchy all the very best in his future career and thank him for all the great entertainment over the years. A great guy and special talent."
He ranks right up there in the lists for top run-scorers, top century-makers, and much else
