Perth Scorchers win by 35 runs with a superb display in the field and are locked into finals, but need to beat Sydney Sixers to secure second place. It was a tricky pitch. Nick Hobson played great little innings to get Scorchers to a healthy total, then they were excellent with the ball and in the field. Was this performance a window into Brisbane Heat's finals challenge with the players they a losing? At least the replacements got some time in the middle. I'll do a quick wrap up for this one as attention turns to Marvel Stadium for the Melbourne derby, and the farewell of Aaron Finch. From Gnasher and Alex, thanks for joining us for this one.

35 needed off the last. Think Scorchers are safe. Appears Heat may have been penalised for a deliberate short run
Nick Hobson showed timely form but the match against Sydney Sixers will define the path through the finals for the defending champions
