From what Sampath said earlier, Hurricanes will now have to win both games and rely on other results going their way to be in contention. Strikers are better placed and will take on Stars, which could be interesting. Before that, Hobart will host the rematch of this encounter in a couple of days. There's a top-of-the-table clash coming tomorrow. Lots to look forward to, hope you join us for all of it, and thanks for tuning in today.
Cameron Boyce, POTM: Couple of big games for us. Hope we win there and get on a roll for the finals. The boys have been confident. Feels like the top-order bats are getting 40-50 in no time and setting things up nicely. It was nice to come with a few wickets down, come out and play my role. We didn't nail things earlier in the tournament but are now, need to keep believing and surging on. People keep saying I keep bowling slower and it's tactical but I'm just getting older. Just trying to get through the crease, trying to be different. Going back to what I do. I've been playing for 12 years and feel I know my game and back that.
10:31pm Hurricanes stay in the playoffs race. They were ahead throughout the chase and got through despite few setbacks. Matt Short continued his excellent form, he was helped by a cameo from D'Arcy. He stitched a decent stand with Lynn, who also put up a healthy 26-ball 37. They'd scored 100 in ten and lost a few quick wickets. Ellis, Dooley, and Meredith struck. It slowed down the scoring but a decent power surge and favourable equation allowed Strikers to coast through.
Steven: "19.1 is why the third umpire should be the one calling for a review"
Corey Anderson to close things out.
