Sydney Sixers win by six wickets and are two from two early in the tournament. They always had this chase under control. Daniel Hughes played the perfect innings for the situation on what was a tricky surface where back-of-a-length seam was hard to get away. Probably not an ideal T20 surface, but at least we got a game tonight! Sixers are looking very good again, they have a lot depth and seem to have most bases covered. Will take a little longer to judge Hurricanes this season and how things come together. Would appear they have lost Riley Meredith for a while with another side injury. Their batting didn't adjust their sights well enough tonight. Daniel Hughes is named Player of the Match. On that note, I'll wrap things up for tonight. Will be back tomorrow for Sydney Thunder vs Brisbane Heat from Canberra. Until then, thanks for your company.

Ellis to Hughes, SIX, that just about does it! Dropped in short, Hughes picks it up with a mighty pull and sends it miles back over fine leg. He gave it a little fist bump after that

Ellis to Hughes, no run, full and wide, chases and misses the drive...was there a noise? No one seemed interested

Ellis to Hughes, 2 runs, a short ball, rolls his wrists on the pull, places it nicely between long leg and deep square. Useful brace

Ellis to Hughes, no run, flashes and misses outside off, back of a length and zips through
