Well, that's a thrashing. Perth Scorchers win by seven wickets with about a week to spare (well, okay, 53 balls). That gives them a bit more breathing space in search of that home prelim final. For the Strikes, it's all on their final game against Melbourne Renegades (barring a few other permutations) but they look a team going the wrong way. A forgettable day for the home side. They were never in this one. Scorchers, meanwhile, are playing some fine cricket as they so often do. So, this match has finished a bit earlier than expected, but there's more BBL coming up shortly with Brisbane Heat facing Hobart Hurricanes in a huge game at the Gabba. Alex and I will be with you for that one as well shortly. See you over the other side! From this one, it's goodbye.
