Thanks for your company. Stay tuned for tonight's blockbuster between the BBL's two best teams, Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers from the SCG. Bye for now.
Nathan Ellis is player of the match for his 4 for 27 including a hat-trick.
Tim David: "I think that might be the most balls I've ever batted. It was nice to spend a bit of time out there. [On going in early] I was just trying to get in. Wadey is a really good powerplay batter. I don't bat up there in the powerplay very often. It gave me the chance to just absorb a little bit of pressure and then once we got in it felt a little bit easier. [On the Wade-Green stoush] Obviously we know Wadey loves getting into the contest and being a bit feisty. Greeny was winding him up. They were suggesting there was going to be another run out. I was there trying to diffuse it but they were going at each other a little bit. it was pretty friendly to be honest."
4.48pm Hurricanes win by five wickets with 23 balls to spare.
That was a clinic from Tim David. He walked in during the powerplay and posts his highest BBL score making 76 not out with six sixes. Exceptional power-hitting and composure under pressure. Matt Wade played an important support role with 30 off 22. Daniel Sams had a lone hand with the ball taking 4 for 18 off 4 with 16 dots. No other Thunder bowler took a wicket. They didn't score enough runs. Handshakes between the two teams end well after some testy moments during the Hurricanes chase. Wade and Chris Green appear to have sorted things out with a more amicable discussion than their one earlier.
McAndrew back on
Joshua: "Hurricanes are looking like they'd do a decent job at both elevating their NRR and lowering a rivals (this game more important than Stars)"
Dave: "The issue for the thunder is Sam's can't bowl 10 overs as is needed. "
