Scorer: @Thilak_Rama | Commentator: Vishal Dikshit

5.10pm 209 in the last game and now finishing the 140 chase with nine wickets in hand, 16 balls to spare. Thunder now move to second place with their eighth win, and sixth in a row. Their bowlers were good enough to restrict Hurricanes first, and then the Hales storm took care of the chase. He didn't quite start with a bang, but once they took the power surge, there was no stopping him. Six fours and a six from him alone in the power surge, and Hales is also the Player of the Match: "It wasn't an easy wicket, difficult to start on. Tried to take it as deep as we can and became easier to bat once you faced 20-25 balls. Got a lot of downtime because of Covid, New Year's and then was my birthday (3rd January), I tried to enjoy myself and stay ready and fresh."

Stay tuned, you all, we also have Melbourne Stars taking on Adelaide Strikers soon. Until then, it's good bye and good luck from Vishal and Srinidhi. Stay safe everyone, don't forget your masks.

Lamichhane to JJS Sangha, FOUR, that's the winning runs from Sangha! Goes back in the crease and chops that wide of backward point for four, that's the game

Lamichhane to JJS Sangha, no run, too full outside off, drives it straight to point

Meredith to Hales, no run, ends the over with a bouncer which Hales ducks under

Meredith to Hales, SIX, someone stop him! Or maybe not. Dances down the ground, and absolutely smacks that over mid-on with a pull right from the middle of the bat

Meredith to Hales, FOUR, 140.5kmh, that's a "I'm gonna take my eyes off the ball and still pull you for four!" The quick bouncer was headed for Hales' head, he turned his eyes towards the pitch instead of the ball and got his execution of the pull so perfect that it went for four

Meredith to Hales, 1 wide, slower ball turns out to be a wide down the leg side
