That's it for this game. The action continues non-stop. Do come back for more. Until next time, this is Shashank Kishore signing off on behalf of Binoy George and the veteran debutant. Stay safe and take care.
Larkin: It was probably their game for most of the chase but our bowlers held their nerve. He wanted the ball [on Zampa bowling the final over]. He took it out of Maxi's hand and delivered. We are so happy to have him in our team. Yeah I struggled for the first 20-odd balls but then the Power Surge helped. It is good to have stars like Russell and Qais Ahmad in our team and hopefully they will do well.
Nick Larkin is the Player of the Match.
The Stars have come back from a grim position when Billings and Gilkes were cruising to turn it around and win a thriller by 4 wins. Maybe The Thunder will wonder why they left the Power Surge so late when the aforementioned duo were going so well. Billings was in the mood too as he took on the youngster Couch and hit him for a massive six - which should've signalled for the Power Surge. But his wicket next over started the rot and at the end Zampa kept his nerve to defend 11 off the last over. Credit to both NCN and Dre Russ for bowling two tight overs in the Power Surge which left enough for Zampa in the last over. The Stars will be relieved that despite a sloppy effort in the field, they were able to sneak home at the end. One consolation for The Thunder is they go home with the Bash Boost point. Stay tuned to know who the player of the match is.
Chat between the batsmen and the bowler and Stoinis. Slight pause in play
