Sydney Sixers win by 8 wickets with 25 balls to spare. That was clinical. Professional chase from the Sixers. Vince was phenomenal and then Philippe picked up the slack when he departed. The win was set up with the ball. The Heat's batting was dismal again. Steve O'Keefe is Player of the Match. He took the key wicket of Lynn and conceded just 20 runs in four overs. "It was a good all-round performance by the bowlers."
Great win by the Sixers. They move ahead of the Strikers to second on the table for the moment. The Strikers face the Scorchers tomorrow. The Heat can still play finals but need some things to fall their way over the last two games.
Thanks for your company from the Gabba.
Baskar: "It's the kind of players you have in your roster. I don't think there is as much a feeling of oneness and team spirit in the Heat as in Sixers/Scorchers."
Madhu: "This is the slowest innings from Phillipe when facing more than 20 balls"
aneesh p v: "See... pattinson had to bowl earlier...Match would have been exciting to watch!! Lynn's captaincy was poor ... Seemed he wasn't interested for a win..."
Slight delay for a rare streaker.
hardik: "A little unfair to Lehmann. Australia were winning plenty until the twin bans on their best players. They didn't really start getting better until both players came back. " Lehmann resigned when the bans happened. But he had led the team to an Ashes just prior and won a World Cup in 2015.
