That's it for our BBL coverage tonight. Come back tomorrow for the showdown between the Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes. I'm Peter Della Penna, take care!
Jackson Coleman named Player of the Match: "It was just one of those nights where everything seemed to go our way. I've been rehabbing so it's been frustrating missing the first part of the tournament but hopefully at the business end I can make an impact. It's been awhile since my last game but I backed my skills so it was good tonight that things did go that way. I don't bowl to [Stoinis] in the nets because he'd ruin my confidence!"
8:53 pm Well, the Scorchers put in a shocker tonight. Jackson Coleman sparked a rapid slide after Perth chose to bat first before the league-leading Stars and the BBL's leading scorer Marcus Stoinis iced a chase with eight overs to spare. Stoinis passes 500 runs on the season tonight.
Fizz: "You can never guess it's the same team scoring 219 the other day...strange game"
