10.27pm This was the ninth meeting between these two sides, and the eighth victory for the Renegades. For the first 18 overs of this game the Thunder were utterly dominant, but that man Cameron Boyce played a sensational match-turning innings, an unbeaten 51 off 22, and suddenly the Renegades had a more than decent total to defend. Pretty disappointing chase from the Thunder, apart from their debutant keeper Baxter Holt, in batting conditions that actually seemed to have improved.
So the Renegades move up to 16 points, solidifying their bid for a semi-finals spot. They have just one league match to go now, against the table-topping Hobart Hurricanes. Lots of twists and turns left in this season, and we'll bring you all of them. Do keep tuning in. Until next time, good night!

The Renegades made 39 off their last two overs. The Thunder now need 28 off their last over. Here's Boyce, appropriately enough
Round the wicket to Fawad.
