Wasn't a fluent innings by any stretch and it was tough going for the batters. They struggled to find rhythm and the Stars kept them under a stranglehold for the most part. The pacers used their variations well, Swepson was marvelous with his leg spin, and it was, all in all, a well-concerted bowling effort. Short cashed in on his form but perished right after reaching his fifty. Scott and Ross got starts but couldn't accelerate. No other considerable contribution came from the rest and so the Stars have a chaseable target. They just need to bat sensibly and not be erratic. The powerplay will be of pivotal importance.
