8.05pm Heat post 201. It's slightly under what they looked like setting after nine overs but it's more than they would have expected to get at 111 for 4. Labuschagne played a gem, posting his highest BBL score of 77 from 44. Alsop made a great contribution in an 85-run stand. Renshaw and Khawaja deserve credit for their early onslaught. But it's great pitch and scoring looked very hard to contain. Hurricanes bat very deep. We'll see if it's enough.
McEnroe : "I feel like you need to ignore what you have just watched and ask the question "would you be happy with a score of 201?" The answer is yes, 201 is great and heaps of runs to defend "
Simon: "Marnus and Usman contribute 100 runs off 53 balls between them. Fair to say Heat will be very happy with that given its a one off game for them." Bharat Yerra: "So the criteria to perform well at BBL is to be a really good test player! Steve Smith and labu proving the point." Good players always find a way.

200 up. Mark: "What a way for Marnus to bring up his highest score of the summer" Matthew did say might to be fair. And didn't bank on an 18-run 19th over

Highest BBL score for Labuschagne. Meredith goes for 57 from four.
Ryan: "Smith towelled up AJ, the Dorff, Richo and Agar the Elder, they aren't slouches, Smudge is just world class at all levels." All have played quite a bit of international cricket, albeit all at not near their best right now
Matthew: "Hobart have pulled this back well. Might keep it under 200, which seemed unlikely after the first few overs. "

Peege: "The irony from the Hurricanes so far is it's the part-time bowlers who've been the better bowlers so far tonight. At the start it was thought they'd be struggling to find the overs..."
ArjunV: "Bean has been the better pacer in HH's attack today. Well done young lad!"

Tom: "The success of Smith and Labuschagne in the Big Bash says less about their T20 potential and more about the relatively low standard of the bowlers in the Big Bash. Neither are selected in the IPL." One way to view it, Tom. Smith does have an IPL hundred too
san: "Where is Jimmy pearson" Has not been selected since December 29
Bean returns for his last over
