9pm Sydney Thunder, thanks to a bizarre non-appeal, have gotten to 182, a fair few runs more than they would have thought they'd get when they were 79 for 3 after ten overs. But Billings, on 16 off 16 at the time, was short of his ground while taking a run, but Stars never appealed and he went on to finish on 72 off 39 to hoist Thunder to a good total. Jason Sangha and the openers also contributed, while Sams got some key runs down the order. For Stars, it was a much improved bowling performance from the one in Sydney two days ago. Webster finished with three wickets, but Siddle was probably the best bowler for them. Usama Mir who dropped Bancroft early, came back to remove Bancroft and Davies off consecutive balls, but went for runs later. Stars are looking at a tough chase as they hunt their first win of the season. Join us soon for the chase!

Ja: "Am I the only one who is crazy. I swear I heard Stoinus appeal, saying "howzat" and the umpire saying "want me to send it up"" One replay did seem to show someone saying "howzat" but Stoinis had walked away, and later Maxwell on player mic seemed to not even know what incident the commentators were talking about, so I don't think the players had much of a clue! So they can't have too much to complain about, surely!
