7:54pm The 24-run final over turns things around, doesn't it? Kinda ruins Heat's excellent start. Johnson was fire, Kuhnemann's change-ups and Swepson got it at the top of the stumps nicely. Scorchers' batters couldn't get away till the death. But then Turner and Hobson finally started getting boundaries. Six sixes in the last four overs, three fours too. Could be the difference in the chase. See you on the other side for it.

Colin: "Hobson's chase, as the saying almost says!"

Bartlett to Hobson, 2 runs, Bartlett looks for a repeat. But the line's around fifth stump, Hobson manages to jam it through backward point and scampered back for two
19.5
0
Bartlett to Hobson, no run, Wide and full. Smart from Bartlett. Hobson tries to scythe it square, underedges it to the keeper's right. Says no to the single
19.4
6
Bartlett to Hobson, SIX, And again! This is off a length too, and Hobson's striking at 321! Ball on off stump, Hobson made room before sliding back a touch. The shot was like a pull but the flat bat didn't turn inwards much. Got it straight, again
19.3
6
Bartlett to Hobson, SIX, Another slot ball, this isn't nailed... but clears long-off! Hobson made room and looked like he wanted to go straight, maybe even long-on, but powered it so much that it kept travelling despite going off the outer-half of the bat
19.2
4
Bartlett to Hobson, FOUR, Touch wide down leg and it's pulled hard. Well to the right of short fine leg, deep-backward square leg also had no chance
19.1
6
Bartlett to Hobson, SIX, Slot ball and that's a step hit. Released from close to the non-striker's stumps too, so Hobson lined it up perfectly. Much too straight of long-on

W
Johnson to Agar, OUT, Swatted so very well, yet it's straight to deep square leg. Johnson finishes with the first four-for of this edition. Was a fullish ball on leg stump, Agar was on off with feet bent a bit. He picked it up flat in the air, might've wanted to go squarer

AC Agar c McSweeney b Johnson 0 (1m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0

W
Johnson to Turner, OUT, Pull skied. Three back on the leg side and deep fine leg takes this one. Turner cleared the front leg and lined himself to cut the angle with a flat pull. Got it off the top edge

AJ Turner c Bryant b Johnson 22 (19m 13b 1x4 2x6) SR: 169.23

1
Johnson to Hobson, 1 run, Low fully on leg, Hobson's leg side of the ball and tries to whack it across the line. Gets it to deep midwicket
18.3
6
Johnson to Hobson, SIX, Flat-batted into the first deck. Slower one with a bit of room was a risky option, and that was with mid-off up. The back-of-hander came nicely onto bat and Hobson cleared the front leg and smashed it straight
18.2
1
Johnson to Turner, 1 run, Makes room and drives the pacy full ball straight to mid-off
18.1
2
Johnson to Turner, 2 runs, Skied... Kuhnemann has a lot of time to get under the really high ball, but he can't judge the landing spot properly. Ends up a little too far behind the ball. Was a hard-length ball that Turner wanted to pull it square

Best bowler of the day so far. But the two batters have done well too. Will that change?

4
Walter to Hobson, FOUR, Not sure if Hobson wanted to whack that through cover but that's what happened in the end. Was a fullish length ball on fourth and Hobson tried to smear it straighter but spliced it into the ground
17.5
0
Walter to Hobson, no run, Wide yorker. 130ks. Ball goes under bat as Hobson tried to puncture it with the fully open bat face
17.4
6
Walter to Hobson, SIX, A neoclassical on-drive launched over long-on. Hobson cleared the front leg, planted it outside off leg and clubbed it so hard that his feet slid. But he middled the slot ball
17.3
0
Walter to Hobson, no run, Shortish fifth-stump ball zipped up over bat as Hobson tried to slap it over cover
17.2
1
Walter to Turner, 1 run, Slower, shortish and around the ribs. Pulled around the corner through backward square leg
17.1
0
Walter to Turner, no run, Turner keeps making room but Walter's around-the-wicket length ball keeps following him and beats him on the hopping leg glance
