5:53pm The Stars, given how they began, have done well to get up to 146. Most of that was down to Curran and Stoinis, both of whom made 37. Webster and Cartwright also played a part alongside those two, although none of those four went on and notched up a substantial score.

With the ball, Behrendorff and Richardson set the tone. The former was frugal, the latter more wicket-taking. Their spinners came in for a bit of tap but as a unit, they did largely well, with Morris also picking up a couple late in the innings. They will fancy their chances of chasing this down, even though the Stars will feel they have something to play with. Join us in a bit for the chase!

Behrendorff to Couch, 1 bye, banged into the track on middle and leg. Couch has a wild swipe across the line and only swats away a few flies. Siddle calls him through for the bye and Couch makes it because the bowler cannot hit the stumps with his under-arm throw from a couple of metres out

Last ball coming up. Can Couch provide the Stars with the comfort of a 150-plus score?

Behrendorff to Couch, 2 runs, hard length on the pads. Couch tucks it away towards deep backward square leg and then decides to hare back for the second. He sprawls across the turf but was that enough to get back? Well, he has gotten his bat back but the question is whether it was grounded. Looks like it was, and the third umpire agrees. Couch stays!

The physio comes out to check on Siddle, and he might need a new helmet before batting on. Siddle does not look dazed, which is a good sign

Behrendorff to Siddle, 1 leg bye, ouch! Banged in short and this follows Siddle well outside leg. He has a hack at it but is beaten for pace. Clocks a blow on the grille and that will sting. Let's hope he is alright

Behrendorff to Siddle, no run, length just outside off. Siddle backs away and then swishes at it with all his might. Only connects with fresh air

Behrendorff to McKenzie, OUT, another soft dismissal! Length ball on middle and off, and the Stars have struggled with the extra bounce the Scorchers' bowlers have generated all evening. Tries to go inside out but can only spoon it straight to extra cover, because the ball hit the bat very high. The Stars are nine down!

Morris to Milne, OUT, straight to Tye, and Morris has two! Goes full at the stumps and Milne's eyes light up. It was in the slot, to be fair to Milne, but he just cannot get it closer to the middle of the bat. Off the bottom half and Tye reverse-cups it without much hassle at mid on!

Morris to Curran, OUT, Morris blasts Curran out! Hard length, slanting into middle and off. Curran shapes to pull but is awfully late on the stroke. In fact, he is only half-way through his swing when the ball smashes into the splice and pops up for Agar at backward point. An excellent cameo, but someone else will have to take the Stars closer to 160 now!

Richardson to Webster, OUT, nicked through to Hurst! Richardson was brought back for a wicket, and Richardson delivers a wicket! Sharp short ball, climbing through on leg stump and cramping Webster for room on the pull. He goes after it anyway but the lack of room means he can only glove it. Hurst does the rest, and the Scorchers break a threatening partnership!
