Adarsh: "This seems a below-par total by the Stars so far. Or are there some demons in the pitch, which will make it difficult for the Sixers?" -- Demons might be a strong word but it did not look like a proper belter in the first innings...

8:45pm 30 runs off the last two overs, and that has taken the Stars past 150. It was a patchy innings, though. There were heavy run-scoring phases, like the last two overs and when Maxwell went ballistic, but apart from that, almost every batter scratched around. Stoinis and Lawrence got thirty-plus scores, although neither was really able to hit top gear. A nice, little innings by Cartwright, which included a massive 113m six in the penultimate over.

The Sixers, as Daniel Hughes said to the on-air broadcasters, will be happy with the score they have to chase. Murphy was the star of the show, picking up the crucial wicket of Maxwell and barely giving anything away. The rest of the bowlers might feel they could have done more towards the end, but given the power in the Sixers' line-up, they will not mind chasing this.

That said, this pitch does look a little two-paced, and seemed a touch tacky when the pacers took the pace off and when the spinners bowled. So, there will be enough in it for the Stars. Can they make the most of it and win, though? Come back in about ten minutes to find out!

4
Curran to Stoinis, FOUR, yes, he can! Banged into the track on middle and leg. Stoinis rocks onto the back foot and pounds it between deep mid wicket and deep backward square leg!

Right. Can Stoinis finish off with another boundary?

4
Curran to Stoinis, FOUR, Stoinis with a last-over boundary! Slow and short outside off. Stoinis holds his swing this time, retains his shape and slaps it over extra cover!
19.4
0
Curran to Stoinis, no run, another full toss outside off. Stoinis swings hard at it, perhaps too hard, and only connects with fresh air

Stoinis was adamant that should have been a wide but there was definitely a deflection off the boot

19.3
4lb
Curran to Stoinis, 4 leg byes, fired down the leg side, and that is poor from Curran! Stoinis does not seem to get bat on it and the ball flicks off the boot past the keeper for four!
19.2
1lb
Curran to Cartwright, 1 leg bye, low full toss speared into leg stump. Cartwright swings and misses and the ball rolls off his back leg towards the bowler. Stoinis charges across for the single and makes it, despite Curran doing his best Lionel Messi impression. Could not quite find the far corner (or the stumps)
19.1
1
Curran to Stoinis, 1 run, low full toss outside off. Stoinis drives it towards extra cover, who dives to his right and parries it to long off

Curran to bowl the last over. 150 well within grasp for the Stars...

6
Abbott to Cartwright, SIX, clean as a whistle! Yorker goes wrong and it ends up as a low full toss outside off. Cartwright, sitting back in his crease, has a free swing at it and biffs it into the second deck over long on! A 113-m hit!
18.5
1
Abbott to Stoinis, 1 run, another wide yorker nailed to perfection. Stoinis has a mighty swing at it and cloths it to deep mid wicket
18.5
1w
Abbott to Stoinis, 1 wide, slower bumper outside off that balloons over the batter's head. Called a wide
18.4
1
Abbott to Cartwright, 1 run, gets the wide yorker right this time. Cartwright can only squeeze it out into the off side
18.3
4
Abbott to Cartwright, FOUR, a boundary, finally! Goes for the yorker but errs on the shorter side, allowing Cartwright to sit back and smash it to long on's right for four!
18.2
1
Abbott to Stoinis, 1 run, right up in the blockhole on middle and off. The bottom hand comes off the bat again as Stoinis clinks it to long on
18.1
2
Abbott to Stoinis, 2 runs, full and wide outside off. Stoinis throws his hands at it and glides it past backward point for a brace

Right. 126 on the board. Two overs left. How high can the Stars go from here? Can they get to 150? Abbott to bowl the penultimate over

Curran to Cartwright, 2 runs, full on middle and off. Cartwright gives himself room and laces it down the ground. Mid off puts in a full-length dive to his right and gets a hand to it, saving a couple of runs in the process
17.5
1
Curran to Stoinis, 1 run, slower bumper outside off. Stoinis fetches it and pulls it tamely to deep mid wicket
17.4
0
Curran to Stoinis, no run, full and well outside Stoinis' hitting arc again. Stoinis looks to go inside out but ends up scuffing it back to the bowler
17.3
1
Curran to Cartwright, 1 run, dug into the track outside off. Cartwright winds up and drags it to the sweeper at deep backward square leg
17.2
