5:35pm There were only flickers of this innings bursting into life but the Sydney Thunder have done just enough to get to 150. If that can be defended is another matter altogether, although this does give them something to bowl at, and is definitely a lot higher than they seemed destined for when they slipped to 96-7.

Green was a major (perhaps the only) contributor towards the end, while Sams and Ross also did decently to prevent a collapse during the back end of the first half of the innings.

The Hurricanes, meanwhile, will be pleased with their bowling efforts, even if they would feel they gave away 10-15 runs too many at the death. Chaudhary bagged two, as did Dooley. Jordan picked up a couple of wickets as well, with Ellis popping up with the crucial breakthrough of Sams.

Despite not setting the world alight on the batting front this season, the hosts will be confident of hunting this down. Join us in a bit for the run-chase!

Ellis to Green, 2 runs, off-pace and hung a mile outside off again. Green cloths it to long off and decides to scamper back for the second. Puts in the dive and just about makes it, taking the Sydney Thunder to 150!

Ellis to Green, 1 wide, length delivery well outside off. Sneaks just beyond the tramlines and the umpire calls it a wide as Green swishes and misses
