3:13pm An underwhelming Hurricanes innings, that too in a game where they needed to be at their best. Their powerplay was sluggish. The middle overs were not much better either and by the time the death overs came along, they did not have many batting resources left. Wright tried to hold things together with a run-a-ball half-century but support was not very forthcoming elsewhere.

The Brisbane Heat, on the other hand, were brilliant with their planning and execution. On a slightly two-paced surface, they did not accord the batters room and forced them into mistakes. The pitch is not very conducive to stroke-play but considering the players at their disposal, the Brisbane Heat will back themselves to hunt this down comfortably.
