5.10pm An interesting end to the Hurricanes' innings. They would feel they have finished 20 short after a few slow overs before the power surge. But technically, their score is 175 since the Stars have been given five extra runs when they come out to bat. Glenn Maxwell said all through the innings with the microphone that any score under 200 and they will be happy. McDermott was impressive as opener, Wade did his bit, David played the cameo too, but another struggle for Short and a bit of a slow innings from Handscomb. Coulter-Nile and Couch the pick of the bowlers.
Jimmy: "at least Hobart started well enough that they should get the Boost point."
Five penalty runs! Why? Maxwell is confused. Oh its because Tim David "deliberately" ran short. According to the umpire, David purposely did not try to complete the first run because he wanted to get back on strike. Therefore he ran 3/4th of the way before turning around and getting back on strike.
David on strike. And you have to think why he has faced so few balls today. Strike-rate of 200 but only nine balls faced.
