10.13 pm Well the Heat tail battled gamely but ultimately it was a top order failure that cost the visitors in the end. Scorchers bungled their last four overs batting in the first innings but it doesn't come back to bite them.
Player of the Match is Matt Kelly for his 4 for 28: "I certainly made it hard for us at the end but glad to have our senior pros and glad to get a win in front of the home crowd for the first game. We're not gonna get much cricket here unfortunately throughout the summer so to win in front of the home crowd is pretty special."
