That's a wrap on our live coverage of this one. Check out Alex Malcolm's report which will go live shortly, and we'll be back for tomorrow's double header. Thanks for tuning in!
"It was nice! Good win," says NCN on Channel Seven, who wins the match award. "It was clinical. I'm surprised we had so many blokes bowling but Maxy likes to change it up. It probably wasn't a 126 wicket, but it was harder than we thought to score. Having bowlers who can bat helped. I have no idea what the plans are, I just rock up on the day and do what I'm told. On the board early. Nice to get the points, nice to get all the points."
10.15pm: So a comprehensive win for the Stars, who never really got out of third gear. Maxwell played a very useful hand in the middle order, while Cartwright steadied the ship after the early loss of Stoinis. The Heat were pretty hopeless: they only fielded one overseas player due to an availability crisis, and their young attack were never likely to restrict the Stars after they'd set such a low total. Nathan Coutler-Nile and Dilbar Hussain were the Stars' best bowlers on the night, and they have a chance to go two from two against the Thunder tomorrow.
One required for a maximum-point win for the Stars. They haven't even needed to use the Power Surge. Here's Simon Milenko to finish it
