8.15 pm Superb Powerplay from the Strikers between Carey and Weatherald got the ball rolling and they never really slowed down through the innings. Carey gets spilled on 26 off a straightforward return chance facing Labuschagne's part-time leg spin and goes on to bring up his second career Big Bash ton. Stiff chase on the cards for the Heat in what is more or less a de facto knockout game. Whoever loses today is going to face near insurmountable odds to reach the playoffs with each side having two games remaining in the regular season.

Just the sixth player in BBL history with multiple centuries in their career. And he was dropped by Labuschagne off a sitter on just 26.

I think Amir still has an image of 26-year-old Morne Morkel in his mind instead of the current 36-year-old version.
