8.06pm An innings full of drama there as the Strikers post 176 which looks competitive but it's a small ground. They started very well in the powerplay but the return of Hazlewood put the brakes on the progress. Alex Carey and Cameron White struggled like anything while the Sixers fielded poorly, putting down several catches, and in the end Jonathan Wells' 40* off 28 gave the Strikers a decent total to defend. We'll be back soon with the chase. Don't go far.

A lot of feedback coming in that Matthew Short wasn't in fact run out. It looked very close for sure

Dave: "13.6 poor decision from the umpire. To put down the wicket the fielder must be holding the ball. Phillips was clearly dropping it. Even if the ball was still in contact with his gloves, he had no control over it, therefore should have been not out."

Ryan Puts: "I actually think that run out was not out. When the zing bails light up the stumps are considered broken and therefore would need to be pulled out of the ground to be out. The third umpire didn't consider this, however the ball did seem to hit the stumps at the same time as Phillipe's gloves. Not sure, it's a tough one."

James: "Kidding yourself if you think the 3rd umpire at any stage checked if the ball was in the keepers gloves for that run out. Umpiring in BBL has been very poor for way too long, yet CA continue to do nothing about it. Too busy counting all the cash coming in I suppose..."

1
Curran to Rashid Khan, 1 run, and dropped again by Dwarshuis! Oh my goodness! This was a tougher chance as Rashid pulled again, the fielder ran in for another attempt but this one wasn't going to carry to him so he slid forward and got his hands just under the ball but could not hold on
19.4
2
Curran to Rashid Khan, 2 runs, dropped again by the Sixers! Slower ball pulled to deep square, Dwarshuis ran in, got both hands to it but spills it

6
Curran to Rashid Khan, SIX, hardly a swing of the bat but he gets six! He was waiting well inside the crease, got a low full toss on the stumps and merely flicked it with perfect timing to send that sailing over square leg
19.2
4
Curran to Rashid Khan, FOUR, attempted yorker but Rashid is ready for it deep and across in the crease. Swings at that with hard hands and gets a really thick edge for a four over short third man

Jay: "Surprised by the Strikers decision not to send Khan early. It has worked for them in all their previous games so why not? Why?"

Dwarshuis to Neser, OUT, targets the leg side again, and this time Vince takes a sharp catch at deep backward square leg! A nice cameo comes to an end. Flicked the full delivery to the leg side again, this one went behind square and Vince took a few quick steps to his right and got both hands to it
