Vinod Rajpal: "The Heat have managed to eclipse not only the average first innings score at this venue but also the Thunder's record of 180 set in BBL07."
8.45pm First, Brisbane Heat were looking good for 210, they they lost 5 for 2 and it appeared as if they'd finish with 165. Fortunately, the lower order has shored them to 186. That said, you get a sense that the momentum has slowly swung towards Thunder.
On a pitch where there's skid for the slow bowlers, Green and Fawad were superb as was Cook. They were matched equally from the other side by that counter-attack by McCullum and Lynn. This has been a game of punches and counter-punches. If the first half was anything to go by, we should be in for an exciting chase.
Drizzle coming down again as I type.
