3.25pm From 91 for 5, the Heat did well to finish where they did, but the Sixers would think that the total is well within reach. Lynn was terrific, and so was Pierson, but my favourite performers were Curran (3-25) and Denly (1-8). Can the Heat bowlers defend this and earn their team's first win of the season? We'll find out in a few mins.

Curran to Peirson, OUT, yes he can! Length ball on off, and his attempted pull comes off the bat's bottom half. In the air as it goes straight to the fielder at cow corner. Brisbane Heat make 164 for 7
JJ Peirson c Silk b Curran 23 (17b 1x4 1x6) SR: 135.29
Can Curran finish well?

Curran to Lynn, OUT, full on middle, and Lynn tries to ramp this over short fine leg. He misses, and the ball hits his front leg. Impact in front of middle stump, and that's been given lbw. An entertaining innings comes to an end

6
Abbott to Peirson, SIX, he joins in! Full toss on leg stump, but Pierson had already shuffled across to play the paddle. Changes his shot, going for a proper swing of the bat instead, and that's been clattered over deep backward square leg!

Abbott to Lynn, 1 leg bye, full ball aimed at his toes. Lynn misses the bat swing, and it hits his front leg. Ball rolls away to the leg side

Abbott to Lynn, SIX, whoa! Full on leg stump, but that's too easy for Lynn. Makes room exposing all three stumps, and then lifts this over long-on so nonchalantly
