Innings break Brilliant innings from Jason Sangha. He tells Fox Sports "Joe Root was brilliant. He calmed me down and talked about trying to take the innings deep. We did that. Daniel Sams came in and put on a clinic! It was quite hard back of a length. One spun and one gripped. We'll back our spinners in Fawad and Chris Green to do the job." It was a tail of two halves that innings. The Thunder lost 3 for 72 in the first 10 overs. But Sangha, Root and Sams conjured a total of 5 for 181. They were helped by three dropped catches and a couple of fortunate LBW not out calls. But Sangha played beautifully. Very impressive for such a young man. The issue for the Thunder will be how wet the ball gets. The Stars had the ball changed twice and the bowlers had trouble gripping it.
