5.55pm That's halfway in the 2023 ODI World Cup final and what to make of it? India raced out of the blocks, thanks again to Rohit Sharma, but Australia dominated after the 10-over mark. They were magnificent with the ball and in the field, led by captain Pat Cummins. He claimed the vital wicket of Virat Kohli which truly did silence 100,000 people. From there, India never found any momentum. KL Rahul did his best to hold things together but there was no final flourish. Just four boundaries outside of the powerplay. Still, this isn't an easy pitch. India have an outstanding bowling attack and are capable of defending this, so long as the dew doesn't come down. Feels like the first 10 overs of the chase could decide things. Australia will come hard. Deiva will be back with you for that.

Teddy: "Uh don't judge a pitch until both teams have batted on it? Fighting total perhaps on this pitch right."

Kashif: "Just one short of 2019's 241, or we could have seen another super over in the final? Who is rooting for super over?"

Ansh: "Think India is about 30 runs short here. It may be a close game as long as the Aus openers dont start strongly. 270 would have been good on this wicket, dew or no dew."

Hazlewood to Mohammed Siraj, FOUR, down the ground! That's more than a single. Gives himself room, frees the arms and crunches through the line straight of mid-off

The nudging of singles is probably not how we expected the first innings of the final to finish

Hazlewood to Kuldeep Yadav, 1 run, round the wicket, back of a length, tapped into the off side

And so we reach the final over...

Pat Cummins has been magnificent. Didn't concede a boundary in 10 overs. Top of my head I'd say that's best outing in ODIs
