raju20ta: "Aus failed in doubling '30 over score'" Well, they were 208 for 0 after 30. That's 159 for 9 in the back 20. Is it enough anyway? We'll find out in the chase. Coverage should resume around 6:23pm local.
Paul T: "Australia's third best scorer was Mr. Extras."
Fahad Naseer : "Is Abdullah Shafiq fit to bat?" Likely to be.
Vikram : "The key for me is how many 6s can Pakistan hit. I think australia hit 19 sixes" Yep, Warner and Marsh smacked nine each.
Mitchell Marsh: Nice to have that as a present on my birthday, feels like I've never gotten over 10 before. Partnership with Davey was awesome. We know this can be a high-scoring ground. I've played here a lot and missed out a lot. Nice to cash in, got a good start, they bowled well in the powerplay. We cashed in at the back end. We wanted to build through the partnership and launch towards the end. Didn't do that but happy. Our communication in the opening stand was fantastic. Kept each other going, even when the spinners bowled well. Davey used his experience well. I tend not to celebrate tons too much but there was a fair bit of emption today. Proud of it. Hopefully, we'll get a few wickets and get another win. There's enough in the wicket, hope to get swing under lights. It's a small ground, we'll need all of those runs. Need to take a couple early, apply pressure and hold our lengths.
5:55pm 27 for 4 in the last five overs closes off the innings well for Pakistan. But it's the 259 off the first 203 that set up Australi'a dominance and, unless Pakistan do something mind-boggling in the case, the match. Warner and Marsh were in no mood to let the bowlers settle. They cashed in on pace, hit it to all parts and punished Pakistan in the powerplay. Usama Mir dropping Warner on 10 cost 153 more runs in the end. Warner was the more calculated of the two batters but he probably played the most extravagant shot of the evening - the flick onto the extension of the roof in Haris' first over. Marsh plundered away as well. Usama was decent with the ball, but like his team-mates, offered few too many boundary balls. But him, Iftikhar, and Nawaz ensured the bleeding didn't continue in the 20-30 over mark. Afridi and Haris ensured that Australia didn't reach 400, but that consolation comes with its limits, doesn't it?

Hat-trick ball
Pete: "Feels like the "end of innings explosion" hasn't really been a thing in this tournament - runs up the order OR steady accumulation throughout have both been on show. Is it the lack of new ball later on, or different fielding restrictions, or the conditions? Feels like a loss for the spectator." I'm not sure but it's a good point. Just SA vs SL that I remember where the death-overs hitting was great.
