Khan: "Was Boult being serious abt 250 being a par score. Or was it typical NZ niceness?" I think he was serious. But we'll know in a little while. Chase coming soon. Live show will be on. So, enjoy.

Ashish : "It is a tricky total and can be winning total also given Bangladesh bowling will suit this pitch. Conway knows this ground very well and his wicket will be crucial."

Ran: "Strange to see criticism of Mahmudullah, it was the batters higher up who didn't perform."

Trent Boult: Some will say I am, but I'm not too big on milestones. Not why you play the game but nice to tick things off like that and get Bangladesh down to a decent total. (On the knuckle ball) It took two and a half years to perfect it, very specific. When you bowl around the world, you need to pick things up and forever try to learn. I was lucky to have a few bowlers who bowl it well around me. Wicket was harder and nicer than expected. 250 is par, they batted well. Lot of hard work to be done, but we hope to get across.

5:44pm A middling score at best. But Bangladesh have batted out the overs, 11 runs in the final one is good too. Ferguson was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand. He went into the pitch, bowled at good pace and got rewarded. Lot of the top-order wickets were off relatively innocuous deliveries, like Litton charging Boult first ball and flicking it to deep fine leg, Tanzid spooning one on the pads to square leg or a cramping Shakib, top edging a pull. But Shakib getting a few away after starting at a snail's pace was a positive. He gave Mushfiqur, who was the best batter of the innings, good support. But it was an innnings of distinct phases: First four wickets fell for 56, then a 96-run stand before Mahmudullah steered them close to 250.
