Right, so that's that from the presentations, and from us here at ESPNcricinfo.Take care of yourselves, and we'll see you again on Saturday.

Sikandar comes up to have a chat with Ramiz Raja. "As a captain you have to lead from the front. Once you see the team captain do all the right things, I need to set an example. Once I can have good work ethics, I feel everyone will follow. You want to be there when the chips are down and be prepared to do the dirty work for the team. If I'm trying, I feel my team is going to try.

"We've put ourselves in a decent position to get to the final. We know how good Sri Lanka are. A bad game can happen and I'm glad it happened against us!"

"I think the intent was not there from the beginning," Dasun Shanaka says. Credits Zimbabwe for being much better. "We cannot accept with the players and experience we've got [this batting performance]. Hopefully we can turn this around quickly."

Sikandar Raza is the player of the match, like he always is.

Hamza: "Oh Sri Lanka!! Ahead of a home world cup... you lost to ZIM in two countries..."

Hamza: "Oh Sri Lanka!! Ahead of a home world cup... you lost to ZIM in two countries..."

So Zimbabwe are now top of the points table thanks to this huge win, and absolutely boss the net run rate. Sri Lanka will have to up their game to stand a chance of crawling back into finals contention

Thabani Ncube : "It's rare to see people thanking the guys who take their time to write the commentary for us Thank you guys. You're so good that we feel like we are in the stadium watching the game Without you the game is useless " Pleasure's all ours, Thabani

END OF OVER:
20 | 7 Runs | ZIM: 162/8 | RR: 8.10

  • Graeme Cremer3 (4b)
  • Tinotenda Maposa5 (4b)
  • Dushmantha Chameera4-0-27-1
  • Eshan Malinga4-0-27-2

Nirmith: "Both sides will be happy with this score. SL clearly reined in ZIM when they threatened to score 180+. ZIM knows SL has a fragile top order with only 5 specialist batters and 2 all rounders."

7.43pm So the Zimbabwean innings ends with a bit of whimper, but they've done enough to get to score that's just about par you suspect. Brian Bennett (49) and Sikandar Raza (47) led the Zimbabwean charge, particularly during their 61-run third wicket stand. But Bennett fell before the death overs, while Raza was caught brilliantly by Shanaka just as Zimbabwe were eyeing up a big finish. The timing of those wickets have likely led Zimbabwe about 20 runs shorter than what they might have been targeting. Wanindu Hasaranga was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 32, while there was also a very impressive debut for seamer Eshan Malinga who finished with 2 for 27. Join us for the start of the chase in about 10 minutes.

Malinga to Cremer, 1 leg bye, Appeal for leg before not given. But SL review. This was searing yorker on the toes, hits the batter low on the shin, but was it doing too much? Looked to be sliding down leg on first glance. And indeed it's just about missing leg stump. Fearsome delivery nonetheless, a real spicy one

W
Malinga to Musekiwa, OUT, Malinga roars as middle stump is flattened! Perfect fast bowlers response here, 142 clicks, full and straight! Musekiwa just can't get the bat down in time as this rifles right through him

Malinga to Musekiwa, SIX, Connects sweetly! Dragged shorter, and pace-on, but Musekiwa stays perfectly balanced and pulls this high over square leg

W
Malinga to Evans, 1 run, OUT, full outside off, squirted to deep point and the call is for two...but it's tight as the throw from Hasaranga is flat and quick! They check upstairs and Evans is short by a couple of inches! There was a slight bit of hesitation from Evans on the return, and that is what has cost him

B Evans run out 4 (5m 5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 80

Chameera to Evans, no run, back of a length, looks to dab this into the onside, can't connect. Deflects behind off the thigh pad to the keeper

insaf : "Its not all about economy about T20 but also wickets too. Hasaranga is having an average of 15.6 in T20. I can't recall many bowlers like that though nonetheless Theekshana is doing fantastic job "

W
Chameera to Sikandar Raza, OUT, What a take from Shanaka! The skipper gets the skipper with a blinder. This was in the slot just outside off, and Raza has lofted this inside out - presumably into space - but Shanaka runs to his left from long-off at full pelt, and holds on with reverse cup while on the move. This was not an easy take by any means

Daniel: ""It's umpire's call on wickets hitting, very unlucky for Munyonga"I would argue its very lucky for Munyonga because to the naked eye that review looked terrible!" --- Ah I meant unlucky that it kept low. Review was a bit of a nonsense, yes
