END OF OVER:
50 | 13 Runs 1 Wkt | ZIM: 277/7 | RR: 5.54

  • Richard Ngarava2 (2b)
  • Sikandar Raza59 (55b)
  • Dushmantha Chameera10-0-52-3
  • Asitha Fernando9-0-67-2

So Sikander Raza., who has long been a tormentor of Sri Lanka, plays another stellar hand to lead Zimbabwe to what appears a decent total. Ben Curran had also made a 79 at the top of the order (for both of these batters, it was back-to-back half centuries).

For Sri Lanka, Dushmantha Chameera was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 for 52. Asitha Fernando was a little out of sorts, but the slower bowlers were economical.

Madushka's innings report should be up shortly. He'll have the first few overs of the chase for you too.

49.6
1
Chameera to Ngarava, 1 run, fast yorker right at the stumps, dug out to mid off and they can only take the one
49.5
1
Chameera to Sikandar Raza, 1 run, full, wide of off, the widest in the over probably, But Raza reaches out and drives this just wide of cover - but not wide enough to get back on strike
49.4
2
Chameera to Sikandar Raza, 2 runs, yorker about 80cm wide of off, opens the face on it and steers wide of deep third. Calls two early and hares back for it
49.3
6
Chameera to Sikandar Raza, SIX, that's just beautiful anticipation. Knew Chameera might come at him with this ball, and he picks the slower one as well. Raza gets low and almost sweeps this one over the deep backward square boundary, clearing it by half a metre
49.3
1w
Chameera to Sikandar Raza, 1 wide, leaves this one alone as well, and again gets the call. These are pretty marginal though. THey are just a couple of inches too wide.
49.3
1w
Chameera to Sikandar Raza, 1 wide, full, wide, just past that guide line. Raza leaves it alone and gets the wide call he's looking for
49.2
1
Chameera to Ngarava, 1 run, yorker, right up on the crease, just outside off. Digs it out towards cover and gets Raza back on strike
49.1
W
Chameera to Evans, OUT, slower ball, looped up gently into the offside, and Pavan Rathnayake (sub fielder) gets under that one to pouch it safely. Evans didn't pick the change of pace at all. Was through the shot very early and either of two fielders could have got under that

48.6
1
AM Fernando to Evans, 1 run, slower ball on the stumps, Evans tries to club this to leg but misses I think. They scamper through and Mendis could have had Raza in trouble with a better throw from behind the stumps
48.5
4
AM Fernando to Evans, FOUR, outside edge for four. This was full outside the off stump, Evens swung and got a little tickle on it to take it skimming past the keeper
48.4
1lb
AM Fernando to Sikandar Raza, 1 leg bye, full, following the batter's pads, it cannons off them and they scamper a run
48.3
2
AM Fernando to Sikandar Raza, 2 runs, fifty for Raza but he's been dropped by Nissanka at long on to allow hit. He hit this slower, length ball in the air and Nissanka had work to do, running in. But although he got to the ball comfortably, he lets the ball bounce out of his lap.
48.2
1
AM Fernando to Evans, 1 run, another slower ball gone wring, a loopy-waist high full toss that Evans only hits to extra cover. Raza has called him through for a single though, which means that if the throw had been on target at the non-striker's, Evans would have been out
48.1
1
AM Fernando to Sikandar Raza, 1 run, slower ball, but full toss on the stumps. Raza waits for it and drags it to deep midwicket

Again Sri Lanka have been too slow with their overs, and for the second time in two matches, they cannot have more than four fielders outside the circle. More fines coming for Asalanka and co.

2
Chameera to Evans, 2 runs, full, almost a yorker, outside off. Squeezes this behind square on the offside and scampers back for the second to put Raza on strike
