1.15pm So a rollercoaster Sri Lankan innings comes to an end, with the visitors having strung together an imposing total of 298 for 6. Zimbabwe started well, not giving anything away for the Lankan batters early on, but a solid 100-run stand between Nissanka and Kusal gave Sri Lanka a platform. But just as they might have been looking to accelerate, Zimbabwe picked up wickets through the middle to leave the hosts reeling five down after 36 overs. No one though expected such a devastating stand - 137 off 83 - between Kamindu and Liyanage, as both batters struck fifties and wrecked the Zimbabwean bowling at the death. The total is well above par, and Zimbabwe will need to bat exceedingly well to hunt this down. We'll be back with the chase in about 30 minutes or so.
