It's absolutely pelting down and it's a rushed presentation ceremony. Just brief comments from the captains and a quick celebration as the Bangladesh players lift the trophy. Thanks for your company! From me, Rvel Zahid, and Thilak Rama, it's goodbye and goodnight!
Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan Captain: Very proud, this is what we talked about as a team, no matter what situation we are in, we want to show character. The way Sahibzada batted was outstanding, heartning and pleasing to see, Saim as well. f´First six overs they put us ahead. Hasan batted really well and Nawaz played an outstanding cameo. Salman was outstanding, took wickets upfront and the way Dani (Daniyal) bowled, very happy with them...
Sahibzada Farhan, Player of the Match: I am happy because the team won. I played according to the plan and targeted the off spin as decided. I told Saim not to worry and leave power hitting to me.
Jaker Ali, Player of the Series: It was a good series for us, boys did really well and I just tried to play my game.
Litton Das, Bangladesh Captain: The boys played good cricket, wicket looked pretty good to bat. We wanted to give youngsters chances and keeps a positive mindset.
Pakistan got their house in order today and put up a respectable score--enough to keep Bangladesh at bay. The home side made five changes and left out some key mainstays who had played significant roles earlier but it gave them a chance to test their bench strength. Pakistan bowled intelligently and Salman Mirza got the ball to swing, troubling the batters with his clever variations. The chase was frantic; at one stage, Bangladesh were in deep trouble, tottering at around 36-5 and desperately in need of a big partnership. They paid the price for that early collapse and never really looked in with a shot at chasing down a stiff total on a tricky pitch. Earlier, Sahibzada Farhan made an immediate impact after being brought into the side. His confident approach inspired the whole team as he anchored the innings with a superb 63-run knock. Saim Ayub got a decent start while Hasan Nawaz and Mohammad Nawaz chipped in with crucial runs at the death to push the total past 170
