Sadeque Mullah: "Did the last five balls take the game away from Bangladesh?" --- Not sure about that, but it certainly brought Sri Lanka back into it.
sloWalker89: "That last over will give both teams a boost of energy. Sri Lanka will now feel they have something to bowl at, while Bangladesh will be pleased that there's still a chance to bat well on this pitch. Either way, we're in for a thrilling game."
Raees : "I have watched countless matches at R Premadasa Stadium but I have never ever seen a crowd like this for a game of cricket . "
Tinura: "Real hero is Theekshana, for shielding Shanaka from Rishad in 18th over!"
8.37pm Well! What a hectic finish that was. Dasun Shanaka, who had dithered for the strike from the 11th over onwards, which was when he came into bat as the last recognised batter, bided his time and finally unleashed in the final over - taking 22 runs off it. It meant Sri Lanka's score was propelled to 132, something they would not have wanted having won the toss and elected to bat but something they would be immensely grateful for after being reduced to 88 for 6 and 103 for 7. That over also gave momentum to Sri Lanka following an innings that had been all Bangladesh till that point. Leading the way was the returning Mahedi Hasan who ripped through the top order to end with figures of 4 for 11. Bangladesh were also outstanding in the field, despite a couple of tough dropped chances. On a surface that got stickier with the older ball, and spinners were a handful, Sri Lanka's batters kept failing trying to hit out. Aside from Shanaka only Nissanka (46) at the top and Kamindu (21) later on managed to get to double figures. We'll have the chase for you shortly.
sloWalker89: "SL is 20 runs short, everything will be decided based on the powerplay of BD innings."
Akindu: "WHY WAS THAT SINGLE TAKEN???!!!"
Ed: "Is dew a factor here?????" --- Hasn't been so far, Ed.

Umair: "With the likes of Theekshana, Vandersay, Kamindu and Asalanka in their attack Sri Lanka will have to go hard at Bangladesh. This is an attack that's very much capable of doing magic on this pitch."
We're back underway
Aziz: "Can we start discussing about the chase? I feel like BD's only option should be an agressive start with quick runs and not get into a hole trying to get slow runs. If a wicket or two falls only then start playing conservative run a ball cricket." --- Pretty much.
Mandatory concussion check taking place now.
Shanaka has to make his move now, surely.
Akindu: "Okay i understand that the pitch is tough and SL is 7 down and theres no more batting left. But surely now Shanakas gotta try reach the boundary? " --- Now is the time, yes.
sloWalker89: "Is this a minefield or ordinary pitch? Feels BD also will struggle to score on this pitch. What do u think Madushka?" --- Not a minefield, but very helpful for spin with the ball sticking in the surface once it gets softer.
