Gnasher will be back for the start of the chase. During the innings break, have a read of this interview with Jake Weatherald who, if things go well in October, will be in the frame for the Ashes.

6.13pm Innings break Australia fought back superbly. South Africa were 233 for 5 with 10 overs to go and Stubbs and Mulder set. They were also 179 for 3 with 19 remaining. But they lost 7 for 98 and 5 for 44 at the finish. Ellis was outstanding and Zampa and Labuschagne took two each. Bartlett was excellent up front with two wickets. Cameron Green also equalled an Australia ODI record for a non-wicketkeeper with four catches. South Africa had laid a great platform thanks to another outstanding innings from Matthew Breetzke who became the first player in men's ODI cricket to score four half-centuries or more in each of his first four games. He finished with 88. De Zorzi and Stubbs both made excellent contributions too but would have been disappointed not to go on.

Matthew Breetzke: "It's pretty cool. I'm pretty gutted about today. I wanted to get a really big score. Hopefully the boys can do a job with the ball. They bowled well. A lot of changes of pace but I felt like my decision making was good. I think we are probably 20 short if we are honest with ourselves. I think we lost wickets at crucial stages so we're going to have to bowl well."

Xavier Bartlett: "To keep them under 300 is a really good effort from us. I thought we controlled it through the middle. I thought our spinners bowled really well. Hopefully there's dew like we saw in Cairns. But they bowled really well there and they're a great bowling outfit so hopefully we can get the job done."
