7.25pm Right then, that's all from us for the first ODI of India's tour Down Under. Australia will go to Adelaide with a 1-0 lead. Can Gill turn things around on his first assignment as ODI captain, or will Marsh and his men seal the series? Join us on the 23rd to find out. For now, on behalf of Andrew McGlashan, Ranjith and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo, this is Abhimanyu signing off. Bye!

Mitch Marsh is the POTM. "It was [a strange game]. Weather played a part and big thanks to the fans for sticking around. Good to get a win. Always nice to win at home. I love playing here. [On the chase] It was obviously swinging around a little bit, so that was a challenge to get through, but proud of the way our young guys took the game on. [On the new look batting lineup] [Philippe] came in and made it easy! The young guys coming in, you want them to come in and enjoy. I said to the group that you don't get to play ODIs in front of big crowds often, so go out and enjoy."
India captain Gill: "Never easy. When you lose three wickets in the powerplay, you're always trying to play catch up. There were a lot of learnings and positives as well. Defending 130 in 26 odd overs, we took the game pretty deep so we're satisfied with that. We're very fortunate that wherever we play, fans turn up in huge numbers"
Tonka: "No Australians and no English on that list. Telling."
Oscaar: "surprised at virat and baz on that list - maybe not such bad company after all" -- Definitely not! Shaun Pollock and Stephen Fleming on there as well. Dilshan too.
westwallaby: "Was Kohli on the field? It seems he was hidden. And the intensity on the field seemed to reflect this." -- He was on the field throughout. Even spotted him having a chat with some of the bowlers, specially Rana after his first over went for a few runs.
7.10pm Mitch Marsh shepherded Australia's chase, which they completed without much fuss. Josh Philippe played a good knock, and there was a nice cameo from Renshaw to close it out. Mitch Owen didn't get to bat on debut, but he'll be happy with the wicket of KL Rahul. It was Starc and Hazlewood who set the win up with their new-ball burst, after which rain reduced the game to 26 overs a side. Matt Kuhnemann bowled well after the game resumed to ensure India didn't get away with too many runs. Overall, a comprehensive performance from the hosts. Rahul and Axar were the only bright spots with the bat, although Nitish Kumar Reddy on debut played a neat cameo to help India finish strong. Rohit and Kohli failing to fire, along with the rest of the top and upper-middle order, will be a worry for India, and they will hope for a better showing in Adelaide in four days' time and Sydney after that.
Meanwhile Sampath tells me Shubman Gill has joined a list he'd probably wish he wasn't part of.
