5:15 pm It's been a day of positive Test cricket that has also been rather different for both teams. I'd say the first part of Day 2 belonged to the home team, with the remainder going to the visiting team. The day began with Zimbabwe losing their final wicket and being bowled out on the very first ball of the day. Bangladesh began strongly with their opening stand, a rare feat for the batting unit in recent years. Anamul and Shadman scored 118 runs together. Later on, Mominul and Shadman had a partnership of 76 runs. Shadman picked up his 2nd Test 100. However, Mominul and Shadman were both dismissed in successive balls. Shanto and Mushfiqur attempted to steady the ship by establishing another partnership. However, as this partnership fell apart, Bangladesh began to collapse once more, thanks to the debutant spinner Masekesa. Masekesa took three wickets in his second spell of the match, dealing a severe blow to the batters, has done a terrific job with the ball in his second spell. Bennett, Muzarabani, and Masakadza took one wicket apiece. Bangladesh complete the day with a 64-run advantage, and the home team will have a challenging morning tomorrow, as Zimbabwe will come at them with the new ball in full force.
